Matriculants Encouraged To Make An Application For NSFAS Funding

Since the 2024 National Senior Certification (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the chance to apply for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

"The application window will close on fifteen December 2024, and you'll find not many days left to submit applications. Suitable pupils are urged to apply promptly to secure monetary help for his or her post-school education," Nkabane said.

Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper 3.

Nkabane said this pivotal moment marks the fruits of many years of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their examinations with dedication and self-assurance.

With Just over 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this calendar year's matric exams, throughout South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public on the department's preparedness to administer the tests mynsfas easily.

Nkabane highlighted a selection of possibilities readily available within the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, that's open up to all matriculants looking for even more instruction and skills development.

The PSET system contains:

• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Giving skills development and general education for students who want to carry on learning.

• Technical and nsfas status check Vocational Education how to upload documents on nsfas and Training (TVET) colleges: Focusing on practical skills and technical knowledge to equip students for employment and self-employment.

• Higher Education institutions: Universities and higher education providers offering degree and diploma programmes.
